Common stack lab
Our original sink lab hosts 5 basins connected via a common waste stack. This is ideal for studying the propagation of non-pathogenic surrogates between sinks via the common wastewater plumbing.
Our new sink lab hosts an array of modular, isolated, and completely independent basins, each with its own decontamination system. This is ideal for studying pathogens as well as transplanted clinical P-traps, and for performing independent experimental variations.
All our sinks are operated by independent embedded controllers, allowing for 24/7 care and feeding.
We use commercially available as well as custom sampling equipment to assure the highest level of reproducibility in measuring the growth and spread of microorganisms.
